Terms of service

By placing an order or making a payment to House of Marvee, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the Terms of Service outlined below. These terms are derived from the House of Marvee Client Service Policy & Agreement 2025.

Custom Orders

  • All garments are custom made-to-order and based on your approved design, confirmed fabric choice, and final measurements.

  • Production commences only after:

    • Full payment in Naira, or

    • 80% deposit in USD, or the mutually agreed deposit amount,

    • AND written confirmation of design, measurements, and materials.

  • Any request for design, fabric, or measurement changes after production begins may attract additional costs and extend the timeline.

  • Clients cannot change design, fabric, or measurements after pattern production begins.

Consultations

  • Consultation is required for all custom designs.

  • Consultation fee: NGN 327,875 (VAT inclusive).

  • This fee covers:

    • Two (2) sketch options

    • One (1) revision

  • Additional sketches or revisions will attract a new consultation fee.

  • Consultation fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Design Process

  • Sketches and design options are delivered within 14 working days post-consultation.

  • Rushed design processes requested by the client waive liability for:

    • Fit errors

    • Design variations

    • Garments not appearing identical to sketches

  • Concerns not raised before invoice issuance are deemed invalid.

Payments

  • Invoices are valid for 3 days from issue. Any delay may result in a revised (higher) invoice.

  • Late or partial payments do not initiate production.

  • Final balance must be settled before pickup or dispatch.

  • Delays in payment may extend the production timeline.

  • Express production attracts an additional 30% surcharge.

Production Timelines

Standard Orders

  • Standard bespoke production timeline: 15 weeks after all conditions are fulfilled.

  • Ready-to-wear: 14 working days

  • Capsule collections: 8 weeks

Express Orders

  • Minimum of 8 weeks.

  • Attracts a 30% surcharge.

  • May exclude a toile sample and creative experimentation.

  • Express orders cannot be cancelled once payment is made.

  • By confirming an express order, the client waives liability for fit concerns or design variance.

Cancellations

  • Orders cancelled within 24 hours of payment attract 30% forfeiture.

  • Orders cancelled after 24 hours attract 100% forfeiture.

  • If your event is cancelled for any reason outside your control, full payment remains due.

Alterations

  • Alterations are only allowed during scheduled fittings.

  • Any changes requested after pickup or delivery will attract a fee and depend on availability.

  • House of Marvee does not guarantee post-production alterations.

Ownership & Intellectual Property

  • All sketches, designs, concepts, and garments remain the intellectual property of House of Marvee.

  • Copying, reproduction, or external recreation is prohibited without written consent.

  • Legal action will be taken for infringement.

Force Majeure

House of Marvee is not liable for delays caused by events beyond its control, including natural disasters, supplier delays, strikes, pandemics, public unrest, or government restrictions. Revised delivery dates will be communicated where necessary.

Legal Agreement

Your deposit or full payment constitutes full acceptance of these Terms of Service and forms a binding agreement governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
